 In Ukraine, 84,804 new sole proprietorships were registered in 2021, which is the highest registration rate since 2017. This is evidenced by data from the opendatabot study.

 

Last year, only 22,455 new private entrepreneurs were registered, in 2019 - about 49,000, in 2018 - 75,000. In 2017, the number of private entrepreneurs decreased by 111,000.

 

In total, the number of individual entrepreneurs increased to 1.99 million in 2021, which is also the maximum indicator of operating private entrepreneurs over the past five years.

 

For 2020, individual entrepreneurs paid UAH 52 billion in taxes, of which UAH 37 billion are single tax payers.
